Joel and Adele Sandberg offer their tribute to Dr. Lou Rosenblum

Adele and I met Lou in the early 1970s. He flew down to Miami to meet with Bob (z"l)  and Miriam Wolf and Adele and me as we were starting the South Florida Conference on Soviet Jewry. He taught us how to make a phone call to refuseniks in the Soviet Union and we made our first phone call with him. I was amazed that a busy NASA scientist would take the time to come down from Cleveland  to Miami solely to help us start a Soviet Jewry group. We joined the UCSJ and were honored to work with Lou, his daughter Myriam, son-in law Sheldon Benjamin, and all of the other wonderful activists around the world to get Jews out of the Soviet Union. Lou was a giant in the movement.

May his memory be for a blessing.
