Likely Hate Crime in Moscow Region Leaves Two Tajiks in Hospital

Police in the Moscow region town of Protvino have detained eight
suspects in connection with a June 17 attack that left two Tajiks in
the hospital, according to a June 29, 2009 report by the web site
newsru.com. The suspects, all in their late teens, face charges of
assault, but police sources stated that they are neo-Nazis who
committed the crime out of ethnic hatred. It is not clear, however, if
prosecutors will tack on hate crimes charges to the case.
